How to use Google Analytics for your best interest

A static website is one that is not updated with new content on a regular basis. This is able to provide the user with a fairly static experience without any new information being supplied.

In the online world, no content is generated on a static website meaning that it is not maintained. It is also much more difficult to tell what the visitors are doing.

If you are sure that your website provides valuable information then what you need is a static website. However, having content on your site that has been created by you may leave your visitors frustrated. While you are in the creation process, you need to find out whether your message is consistent across your different pages. Conformity is key to the success of your website.

The key to getting this right is to provide a homepage that is all about the users, not about you. Your goal is to understand your site so that you can create content according to what your users are looking for. You can then provide that link to each page of your website in the ‘about me’ section of your control panel.

There are three main methods that you need to use on your site.

I will use Google Analytics for illustration of the three methods to analyze the effectiveness of your site. Once you have a solid understanding of how each method works, then you can start to create pages that take advantage of each method to drive users to a specific page on your site.

1. The frontend will be the interface where the user sees your pages, click ‘Add to wide URL’ to quickly create web pages. A generic field allows you to provide a descriptive path for your visitor’s browser, so the URL will match their search term. For example, you can set the path up so that it can be as easy as “C depressing buttons, harlowers aids suggestions and Contact”. Future children’s books on the topic will come along, making your website more valuable for the keyword we are targeting.

2. The website will be on your hosted server that you decide to use. The path that the browser is sent through will be your custom links. You will then be able to track those URLs over time and the statistics will be available online. You also set the number of visitors and the path they used in.

You can set up several URLs so that a page from one page to another can be matched right through to another page.Embedding URLs into interior pages on your site is easy to do. For example, if your site is on Wix, you can use a URL like other/blog or maybe free-advice. Once you have all the URLs set up on your site the statistics will start to be tracked.

3. The third method will be the method that Google Analytics will be used. This is the end goal that your site is trying to achieve. It is the method that will provide the most effective path for your users.

You need to use registration and login on all communication with the visitors to provide the ability to know what they are looking at. You can then use this kind of tracking to obtain information about the time frame that the users have been on your website, what they have clicked and been interested in, how many pages they visited and how long they have spent as per your need.

The web page itself can be set up to allow the users to sign up for a free newsletter where you will be able to send them weekly news on your products, what new products you are offering or new services.

The Welcome message can be delivered using Feedburner which not only allows you to share e-mail with clients but also so that you can link back to your site.

Setting up a Data Handling System and tracking all reports is a lot of hard work and time. If you want a better understanding of your site then one of the ways Google Analytics is a great tool. Although you may not be interested now in having detailed statistics on each visitor, as soon as you have the dollars on the menu you can expect to start to see them.
