Start with the catalogue and customer choices
We discuss your product ranges, useful margins, seasonal priorities and fulfilment constraints. A category with many products is not automatically the best growth opportunity. The most useful starting point may be a smaller range where customers need help comparing compatibility, sizes, materials or intended use.
We then review how those decisions appear in the navigation and content. Category names should make sense to shoppers, and important ranges should be reachable through ordinary links. Supporting guides can explain difficult choices and connect readers to relevant categories without making every product page carry the same long explanation.
Improve the information behind a purchase
Product content should explain what someone is choosing and what they need to know before ordering. Depending on the item, that may include specifications, dimensions, compatibility, options, care, availability and delivery conditions. We identify where information is missing or too generic to support the decision.
Images and descriptions must represent the actual products. Where the same supplier copy appears across many stores, your own useful information can explain the selection, application or buying process more clearly. We do not invent customer reviews, product tests or experience the business cannot substantiate.
Control unnecessary page duplication
Filters, variants, sorting and pagination can create many URL combinations. We examine which pages are useful destinations and how the platform exposes them. The technical plan can address internal links, canonical choices, sitemap coverage and the handling of unavailable or discontinued products.
Google’s ecommerce documentation covers the relationship between product data, navigation and search discovery. We use that guidance alongside the store’s actual platform behaviour. Structured product information should match the visible offer; a valid markup result is not permission to publish a different price or stock status from what customers encounter.
Connect discovery with useful commercial evidence
A store needs to distinguish category visibility, product visits, cart activity and completed purchases. The measurement scope depends on the commerce platform and the events it can report reliably. We review representative journeys and explain any missing data before drawing conclusions about a range’s performance.
The next round of work can target a confusing category, an unanswered product question or a technical pattern affecting many items. We coordinate with the team responsible for stock, pricing and merchandising because search improvements work best when the published offer remains accurate and commercially relevant.
